Hey! I'm Emily, nice to meet you! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.

If you're curious, Lavender Chai was originally the name of my Etsy store (which you can check out here), but I soon found that using social media was not a great way to share my process and all the other fun things I've been doing along the way. In person, you can always find me with at least 5 emergency tea bags, and numerous lavender-scented products. 

As a high schooler, I do lots of different things with my time. I'm a competitive swimmer, a musician, an artist and a cat enthusiast. I play the trombone in jazz bands, marching band, various small ensembles, and I've even played in a pit orchestra! I love to play the guitar and ukulele, and when I'm not making music, you can find me in the pool getting ready for a swim meet. I mostly paint with watercolor and gouache, but I'll occasionally find myself doing projects with acrylics. I've never tried oil paints, but I think that would be a lot of fun in the future.
